Thursday, November 5th, at the Santa Barbara Public Library, downtown branch, Solstice Celebration presented a "preview" launch of The BIGGEST Little Elephant Parade!. The exhibition featured 12 painted mini-elephant sculptures, along with several early entries from local artists that showcased how community members can get involved. The exhibition runs through the end of November and will continue to grow as more artists join the herd.
Dana Yarger, US Representative for Elephant Parade® International was present to share the story of how this acclaimed, worldwide arts initiative got started. For more info about internationally acclaimed public art initiative -- the Elephant Parade® check it out here.
Solstice is currently seeking individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate as artists or event partners. Event partners can make a tax-deductible donation to sponsor artists in this hands-on community art project—distributing Art Box kits (complete with a mini-elephant sculpture, paints, brushes, and palette) to colleagues, friends, neighbors, and local heroes. All completed mini-elephants will return to Solstice for a fundraising auction in early 2026, supporting the next phase of this joyful community collaboration.
