The Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration has received a grant award from the Towbes Fund for the Performing Arts, a field of interest fund of the Santa Barbara Foundation. This award gives programmatic support to assist in the creation of several performing arts pieces for the Solstice Parade and Festival to honor our 50th anniversary. The deadline for submitting Artist in Residence proposal is March 29.

At our IdeaShop on March 5, 5-7 pm, at Legacy Art Santa Barbara, 1230 State Street, applicants can learn about new Solstice artist-in-residence positions, job opportunities including tech, administrative, costumer, artist apprenticeships and assistant positions, plus how to submit  proposals for 2024 artist-in-residence honorariums, the process, and connect with like-minded folks!

This is an opportunity to meet past-present-future Solstice artists-in-residence and forge new opportunities to collaborate.

Bring your fabulousless to the Parade and be part of the largest arts oriented event in our County!  This year’s theme: FLIGHTS OF FANCY is certain to inspire fanciful flights in your imagination.  You can submit your proposal at any time before March 29th
