Solstice is People-Powered, People-Created, Street Art in Motion. The Solstice Workshop is where the magic begins open for 2 months in May-June. REGISTER HERE
The Workshop will open the first week of May. Opening Reception May 17, Hours Wed-Fri. 3-8 pm, Sat-Sun, noon to 6 pm.
MUSIC SHOWCASE & ACTIVATIONS
Three days of non-stop entertainment on two stages: the Main Stage and the Community Stage. If you are a band, dancer, musician, busker, performance artist, juggler, mime, aerialist.
Festival hours are Friday, June 20th 4-9 pm,
Saturday, June 21st 12-8 pm, and Sunday, June 22nd 12-6 pm
Children's Festival: Sat-Sun. 12 pm to 6 pm
FESTIVAL VENDORS
Artists, artisans, local businesses and non-profits sell and share your wares and ideas! Each year approximately 50,000 attendees enjoy 3 days of free music & art, tasty food, wine & beer. Apply HERE
Again this year, there will be the Alameda Park West Zone (main stage/gazebo side), and on the East Side, Saturday and Sunday only-- the Children's Zone, Arts & Culture Zone, and a new interactive Play Zone.
MEMBERSHIP
As a member, you will receive some special Solstice "intangibles" -- connection, community, knowing you are part of building a stronger foundation for art and culture in our world. In addition, you will receive Parade and Workshop Registrations based upon the level of your membership, a special insiders newsletter.

This year's winning art from our Poster Art Contest, Stephanie Ingoldsby with her "Resplentent Dirigible" will appear on the 2024 t-shirt. . Be part of capturing the visual and oral history of the Santa Barbara Solstice Celebration. Photographers and media can request a media pass. for the Parade Day.

We are documenting our workshop, artists, and guest stories and telling the How's and Why's of Solstice, under the direction of Ian Kellet, documentary instructor at UCSB Film Studies.

JUNIOR ARTIST PROGRAM
The Michael Gonzales Junior Artist (ages 13-21) Mentorship Program began in 2002 to honor the first Solstice Junior Artist, Jethro Davis. Young artists are selected to work directly with Solstice Artists-in-Residence in the creation of ensembles, floats, masks and costumes for the Solstice Parade.
