MUSIC SHOWCASE & ACTIVATIONS

Again this year, there will be the Alameda Park West Zone (main stage/gazebo side), and on the East Side, Saturday and Sunday only-- the Children's Zone, Arts & Culture Zone, and a new interactive Play Zone.

LEGACY PROJECT 50 years and going strong!
The Historical Musem is presenting the 50th Anniversary Exhibition, May-June 2024. Opening Reception will be May 2. The Solstice Celebration began in 1974 as a birthday celebration for artist/mime, Michael Gonzales and has grown into the largest arts event in Santa Barbara County. JUNIOR ARTIST PROGRAM
The Michael Gonzales Junior Artist (ages 13-21) Mentorship Program began in 2002 to honor the first Solstice Junior Artist, Jethro Davis. Young artists are selected to work directly with Solstice Artists-in-Residence in the creation of ensembles, floats, masks and costumes for the Solstice Parade.
