ABOUT THE 2024
SANTA BARBARA SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

50th rev.2.png

The Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration parade and festival had another amazing  year!  The Parade and Festival theme was "Roots".  The Festival expanded to three days, with the return of the Children's Mini Fest, and the new CommUnity and Roots of Culture Zone.  Music, food, fun activities!  There was a palpable feeling of joy and magic in the air for those three days in June 2023

THIS YEAR,  the 50th annual Solstice Parade will begin at Noon on June 22nd at the intersection of Ortega and Santa Barbara Streets. The parade will travel on Santa Barbara Street and end at the Solstice Festival at Alameda park. (Sola Street).

Parade spectators can expect to enjoy the view of Santa Barbara with the mountains in the background.  Along this route we have the Santa Barbara Courthouse, the SB Historical Museum and the Presidio, all steeped in the history of our community. We can't imagine a better place to renew our spirit, come together as a community.

The Solstice Workshop will open to the public on May 1 at the Community Arts Workshop (CAW) at 631 Garden Street.. The Solstice Festival will take place in Alameda Park, Friday June 21 4pm- 9pm - Saturday June 22, 12 - 9 pm, and Sunday, June 23, Noon to 6 pm.
