Why these dates?
Well, Saturday, September 21, is the Fall Equinox, and Sunday, September 22, is Elephant Appreciation Day in the US! So, we thought, why not combine our annual Theme Party with an exciting opportunity to tell you about the Elephant Parade® and how Santa Barbara can be a part of this global movement, mixing public art with conservation.
What is the Elephant Parade®?
It’s an international initiative featuring life-size baby elephant statues, designed by artists and celebrities, touring cities around the world to raise awareness for elephant conservation. And guess what? We want Santa Barbara to be an official destination for the Elephant Parade® in 2025!
