The core of the Santa
Barbara Solstice Celebration begins with the community arts
Workshop, opening in early May and continuing through July
1st. It hosts a diverse cross-section of the Santa Barbara
community working side-by-side on their magical creations,
and features a special Children's Area designed to
encourage kids and their parents to participate in artistic
expression and creativity. People from all economic groups,
able-bodied to disabled, all derive joy in this communal
project.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization, the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration
depends on the community to help fund the largest creative
arts event in Santa Barbara. All Solstice
Celebration participants must register
as part of the Workshop and/or Parade. Registration fees
help to pay for the cost of materials. There are a limited
number of scholarships available.
Materials are needed
for this year's Workshop! To make a material supplies
donation, please contact Claudia Bratton, Executive Director,
